Clinic & Tech

Achieving excellence in every aspect of the treatment process is our mission: from your initial call, assessing the best treatment option to after-procedure follow up. We care to save teeth, smiles and beauty.

Our practice has the vision to provide to our patients uncompromising excellence in endodontics, with passion and care for those we have the privilege to serve, by means of our talents, experience and technology.

In accomplishing so, we make every effort to 1) listen to your needs and desires, 2) earn your trust and respect by practicing ethically and with your best interest first, 3) exceed your expectations, 4) offer the most updated and modern techniques and materials.

To effectively clean the deepest, most complex portions of the root canal system requires
incredible innovation. At EndodonticsLA, we are proud to offer that technology with the GentleWave® Procedure.

The GentleWave Procedure is a state-of-the-art alternative to standard root canal treatment.
The ultracleaning technology of the GentleWave Procedure is an advanced combination of fluid
dynamics and a broad range of soundwaves that work together to reach into the microscopic
spaces and remove bacteria, debris and tissue. The GentleWave Procedure is so effective at
cleaning and disinfecting the root canal system, there’s less chance of failure over time.

The GentleWave Procedure uses a minimally invasive protocol to access the infected root canal system, which means it is preserving more of the natural tooth and, in doing so, is helping to keep the tooth’s structure strong. With the GentleWave Procedure we can also typically clean and fill the tooth in just one appointment, which may reduce the number of appointments required.

Achieving an exceptional level of clean requires advanced endodontics—and that’s something
we take pride in providing. Contact us today to discover the GentleWave Difference for
yourself.

Service standard for 45 years

EndodonticsLA combines the passion, technology, art and over 45 years of experience in oral surgery and root canal expertise that Dr. Shinn has.

DIGITAL X-RAYS

Digital X-rays offer more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor, instead of holding up a 35mm dental film up to the light. Digital X-rays results in 1/10th the radiation exposure to you.

DENTAL OPERATING MICROSCOPES

The introduction of the surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of Endodontics. We have invested in the very best quality surgical microscopes, by Global, that provides unparalleled magnification and illumination for our surgical procedures.

Our success depends on us being able to see the minutest of details – you cannot treat what you cannot see.

DIGITAL IMAGING

EndodonticsLA carefully chooses which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Shinn uses the latest in Digital Imaging Technologies. With digital imaging, the exposure time is about 90% less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. Digital imaging allows us to store patient images and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to your general dentist, other specialists, or insurance companies.
